Hello, I’m Heather, thanks for visiting 🙂

Software Engineering

I’ve worked with a range of object-oriented languages and RDBMS systems. My most recent and best work has been as the Data Officer of Lewisham Green Party during it’s record-breaking local election campaign.

In this role involved:

  • Writing our analysis pipeline for our data from the doorstep.
  • Communicating findings from this with key campaigners in terms they understood.
  • Using optical character recognition and worked with an army of volunteers to rapidly digitise reams of data.
  • Managing our migration to a digital data collection system.
  • Connecting with other volunteers across London to share ideas and code.
  • Serving as general tech-support and an organiser in a rapidly scaling local campaign.
